The use of sports as a context for studying science and mathematics

Using sports as a springboard for studying science and mathematics will provide a context that students are familiar with, and also provide motivation for students. A high percentage of students in sixth grade are interested in sports. BayTech is planning to link what students need to learn with what they are interested in, thus students will be more motivated to apply themselves to these subjects that are traditionally considered to be difficult.

State of the art science and computer labs

State-of-the-art laboratories strengthen the knowledge attained in classes and motivate and prepare students for higher education. In fact, student achievement in higher-level science classes, which require state-of-the-art labs, is a key predictor of success in college
